If you are on the lookout for a base for enjoying Kerikeri Activities or Bay of Islands Activities, then join us at Puketotara Lodge. We are an easy 5 minute drive to the heart of Kerikeri and only about 20 minutes from Paihia. Our location makes us fairly central to the best activities the Bay Of Islands has to offer.

Come fishing for beautiful New Zealand rainbow trout without having to leave the property.

If you fancy going into town you’re spoiled for things to do and places to eat.

We’re just minutes from Marsden Estate, Ake Ake, Fat Pig and Cottle Hill wineries to name but a few. Or if you’re keen to venture further afield you could visit Karikari Estate, Butterfish Bay Vineyard or Okahu winery.

Northland is well known for its gourmet food and you can visit Mahoe Cheese, Get Fudged, Makana Chocolate, Ludbrook House (pickles and Chutneys), or a Macadamia Orchard for tastings.

There are any number of local eateries to choose from and some of the more well known local establishments include Fishbone Café, Food at Wharepuke and Pear Tree Restaurant and Bar which is located at the historic Stone Store Basin and The Landing.

There are some superb craft shops and galleries within a stones throw of the lodge and every Sunday there is an excellent Farmer’s Market in town, where you can try all manner of local produce.

Those with a cultural bent can usually find and exhibition or live show at the Kerikeri Centre. There is also a 3 cinema multiplex that is open 7 days.

For the more adventurous there’s sky diving, swimming with dolphins, fishing and sailing charters and Bay of Islands cruises. You can also book for a day trip to Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach.

For those that just want to chill out at the lodge there are lots of great bush walks, animals to pat, playing golf, fishing and swimming in the river, options for you, or you can wander amongst the vines in our newly planted vineyard.
